POSITION: PERSONAL LINES PRODUCER
REPORTS TO: V.P. – PERSONAL LINES
PURPOSE: Production of new
Personal Lines business, providing individuals with highest
quality products and services in the most consistent and
efficient manner through teamwork and cooperation with all other
Agency personnel.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
1. Contact prospective clients
and current clients to solicit new Personal Lines sales and
account rounding.
2. Follow up on referrals from Individual, Employee Benefits and
Commercial Lines advisors and producers, also outside referrals
and any other prospect and expiration lists available.
3. Set up and develop referral network among area lenders, real
estate and other financial professionals.
4. Set up and maintain database for future prospecting using
various company marketing programs.
5. Take “shopper” calls received inhouse.
6. Obtain all information necessary to provide quotation for
requested coverages.
7. Prepare quotation and return call to client or prospective
client promptly. Present recommendation.
8. Upon close of sale, complete application and collect premium,
if applicable. Return completed application to Personal Lines
Advisor for submission to company and file set up.
9. Upon receipt of issued contracts, deliver to client,
reviewing coverages to ensure client’s understanding of the
contract. Follow up on any additional needs, reminding them of
Agency’s other products. Emphasize who should be contacted in
the Agency when client is in need of service.
10. Document all client contact and account activity as
protection against E&O charges.
11. Meet with insurance company representatives to stay
up-to-date with all changes in policies or procedures in order
to provide clients with appropriate information and coverages to
fit their needs.
12. Attend scheduled department and Agency meetings to
facilitate communication and teamwork.
MEASUREMENTS:
1. Contact a minimum of 20
current or prospective clients each day.
2. Respond to clients or prospective clients within 24 hours
with a quotation and recommendation.
3. Complete all applications in full, alleviating delay in
issuance of policy due to incorrect or incomplete information.
4. Deliver all new policies within one week of receipt.
5. Complete Weekly Activity Report and submit to Personal Lines
Manager each Monday.
REQUIREMENTS:
Licensed property and casualty
broker. Personable and professional in appearance and attitude.
